On February 13, 2026, an event dedicated to the motto of 2026 \u201cIndependent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful heavenly horses\u201d was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a presentation of the book by the President of Turkmenistan \u201cThe Neutrality of Turkmenistan: The Bright Path of Peace and Trust\u201d.
\nThe event was attended by a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chairperson of the Republican Turkmen Cultural Center, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, students studying at higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan, as well as members of the Embassy staff.
\nIn his remarks, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Meredov, emphasized that the 2026 motto logically continues the ideas of 2025 \u2014 the International Year of Peace and Trust. It was noted that the symbolism of the current motto is determined both by the historical commitment of the Turkmen people to their spiritual and cultural values and by contemporary global realities.
\nIn addition, the significance of Turkmenistan\u2019s initiative to proclaim 2028 as the Year of International Law was highlighted, reflecting the country\u2019s adherence to the principles of international law and the rule of law.
\nWithin the framework of the event, the participants were presented with the book of the President of Turkmenistan \u201cThe Neutrality of Turkmenistan: The Bright Path of Peace and Trust\u201d and its conceptual and practical provisions were outlined. It was emphasized that the publication reveals the legal and political foundations of neutrality, its role in ensuring regional and global stability, as well as Turkmenistan\u2019s contribution to promoting a culture of peace and trust.
