The purpose of the visit was to study Slovenia&#8217;s experience in the prevention and early detection of cervical cancer, according to the country&#8217;s Medical Information Center.<br \/>\nThe United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Turkmenistan and the Regional Alliance to Prevent Cervical Cancer supported the visit.<br \/>\nThe specialists focused on the national ZORA program, one of the successful models of organized screening in Europe. They studied the population-based screening system, the operation of centralized registries, and cytopathology laboratory standards.
