On February 23, on the seventh day of the Cinese New Year according to the Eastern calendar \u2014 Spring Festival (Chunse), a Turkmen-Chinese jointly concert entitled \u201cSilk Road Carnival \u2014 Spring Festival\u201d was held at the Mukamlar Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. This event, jointly organized by the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, brought together artists of the two nations on one stage.<\/p>\n

\nThe Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldy Shamyradov, Charge d\u2019Affaires of the Chinese Embassy Zhong Hua, and Council Member of the Shanghai Association, attended the opening ceremony for International Cultural Exchanges Xiang Li. In their speeches, it was emphasized that this concert is not only a celebration, but also a harmony of the spiritual values of the two countries.
\nThe concert program amazed the audience with its richness and artistry. The first piece on stage was \u201cBlooming Flower and Full Moon\u201d performed by a Chinese folk music quintet. This piece expresses family unity and a happy life in Chinese culture, creating a warm atmosphere at the beginning of the evening. Then, the revival of nature in the new year was artistically expressed through the piece \u201cAwakening of All Voices in the Mountains\u201d.
\nThe musical performances continued, and the Mongolian folk song \u201cGazelles\u201d performed by tenor Meng Xiaowei expressed deep love for the native land. The folk dance \u201cFlowers\u201d by dancer Chong Yaoyao showed the diversity of national culture and the enthusiasm of life. In addition, the dreams and hopes of people were brought to life through the dance \u201cOasis of the Heart\u201d, and the continuity of the vast steppes were brought to life with inspiring sounds through the music \u201cHorse Racing\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nThe performances of the ancient oriental art of Sichuan opera, \u201cMask Changing,\u201d and the 200-year-old Peking opera, \u201cMu He Passage,\u201d made a special impression on the audience. These performances once again proved how great the intangible cultural heritage of the Chinese people is and how it has the power to unite generations.<\/p>\n

\nOne of the most exciting moments of the concert was the combination of Turkmen and Chinese art. The work \u201cMy Turkmenistan,\u201d performed by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the baton of Resul Gylyjov, and the musical works \u201cHanging Red Lanterns,\u201d performed with the ancient Chinese musical instrument \u201cSheng,\u201d demonstrated the power of art to transcend borders.
