The Netherlands has elected the youngest Prime Minister in its history. Rob Yetten, 38, was sworn in as the new minority government by King Willem-Alexander.
\nAccording to the newspaper Ekstra Bladet, Yetten is the leader of the pro-European center-right D66 party. The party, which has joined forces with the center-right CDA and VVD parties, has formed a coalition that has 66 of the 150 seats in the lower house of parliament.
\nThe coalition is seen as a political experiment in a country where majority governments are usually formed. However, in an uncertain political environment, it is becoming increasingly difficult to win majority support.
\nTherefore, Yetten and other members of the government will now have to seek the support of their opponents on every bill they propose.
