Turkmenistan and Uganda are separated by thousands of kilometers, but the African country is seen as a promising destination for Turkmen tourists. This was announced by representatives of the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) at the international exhibition “Turkmentravel \u2013 2026” in Ashgabat, as reported by the turkmenistan.gov.tm
\nThe exhibitors were particularly interested in the stand of Kubwa Five Safaris, one of the African tour operators. A company representative noted Uganda’s growing tourism potential and discussed travel opportunities for tourists from Turkmenistan.
\nKubwa Five Safaris CEO Joseph Aliganyira said the company has been organizing safari tours in East and Southern Africa since 2018. Routes cover Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Namibia, and Madagascar.
\nThe name “Kubwa” means “big” in Swahili and refers to the “Big Five” African animals\u2014lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and buffalo. Safari programs are designed to allow tourists to see these animals in their natural habitat.
\nUganda is considered one of Africa’s key tourist destinations. It is home to the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. The country is also home to major waterfalls, the source of the Nile, and mountainous regions where snow can be found.
\nThe delegation’s main goal in participating in “Turkmentravel 2026” is to find partners in Turkmenistan. The Ugandan side has expressed its willingness to collaborate with local tour companies to develop tourism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
