On April 25, Ashgabat will host the “Young Engineer 2026” engineering and technology competition for schoolchildren.
\nThe organizers are the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Department of Education of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.
\nThe competition will be held in four categories.
\nIn the “Smart Manufacturing and Service Technologies” category, students in grades 7\u201312 will present their projects. Participants can participate individually or in teams of up to two.
\nIn the “Robotics” category, students in grades 7\u201312 will compete individually. The robots’ task is to collect balls and place them in containers of varying heights within 2.5 minutes. The top five participants will represent the country at the “First Global Challenge 2026” championship.
\nIn the “Young Coders” category, students in grade 8 and younger will submit projects in Scratch\u2014games, animations, or applications. The “BattleBots” category is open to participants of all ages.
\nRegistration is mandatory and will run until April 15, 2026.
