On February 27, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews Pedro Vargas David.
\nExpressing gratitude to the National Leader of Turkmen people for the meeting, the guest shared his impressions of the first visit to Turkmenistan.

\n\u201cThis year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan\u2019s neutrality: a lot has been done in the past time both at the regional and global levels and now the measures set are being implemented successfully. Turkmenistan calls on the states of the planet and international organizations to cooperate closely on maintaining peace, friendship, mutual respect and trust,\u201d Hero-Arkadag said.
\nThe National Leader of Turkmen people expressed his assuredness that the set goals can be communicated to public through such a popular, reliable and large media outlet as \u201cEuronews\u201d.
\nPedro Vargas David, in turn, emphasized the great interest of \u201cEuronews\u201d in the consistent expansion of cooperation with Turkmenistan, noting that together a lot can be achieved, and there are currently many opportunities for the implementation of effective initiatives.
\nIt was emphasized that the peace-loving foreign policy pursued by independent neutral Turkmenistan, its achievements in various fields, rich cultural heritage and beautiful nature attract the attention of the world community.
\nSpecial importance is attached to cooperation with popular media for wide coverage of the country\u2019s domestic and foreign policy, economic, cultural, humanitarian and tourism opportunities.
\nIn 2024, videos about Turkmenistan of economic, cultural and humanitarian scope were broadcasted in the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between \u201cT\u00fcrkmenaragatnashyk\u201d agency of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and \u201cEuronews\u201d media company.
\nIt was noted at the meeting that Turkmenistan presented the Resolution \u201c2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust\u201d at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The resolution was adopted with the unanimous support of 86 states.
\n\u201cThis is a very significant step, in the present setting of events, it is clear that a dialog based on mutual respect contributes to peace and stability,\u201d said Hero-Arkadag.
\nPedro Vargas David emphasized that Turkmenistan\u2019s foreign policy, based on the principles of neutrality, makes a significant contribution to strengthening peace in the world and receives wide support of the international community, which is a clear result of a well thought-out strategy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan.
\nIn accordance with the name of this year, Turkmenistan plans to organize various events of political, economic and cultural-humanitarian scope at the national and international levels.
\nThe main of them is the International Forum with the participation of world leaders, which is scheduled to be held at a high level in Ashgabat on December 12 this year.
\n\u201cThe planned measures are clearly designated in the Concept of Turkmenistan\u2019s activities and priorities within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust. To ensure that the document is accessible to the public, it has been published in the press,\u201d the National Leader of Turkmen people said.
\nThe Concept emphasizes information and communication activities, noted Hero-Arkadag and thus proposed to organize events and dialogue platforms dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust jointly with the Euronews.

The guest said he would take the opportunity to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country\u2019s permanent neutrality.
\nIn addition, the guest highlighted that through the Euronews Academy there are opportunities to exchange experience with Turkmen journalists and develop technical cooperation.
