On March 10, a concert by the Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Zhalilov was held at the Makhtumkuli National Music and Drama Theater in Ashgabat. This was a good gift for International Women’s Day was prepared by the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. The concert was held to a full house on the stage of the Makhtumkuli National Music and Drama Theater, accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klichev.
\nThe Russian singer opened the concert with a number \u2013 \u201cOrlovsky’s Toast\u201d from the operetta \u201cThe Bat\u201d by Johann Strauss. The velvety baritone voice with a wide range of shades immediately charmed the listeners. A medley of classical romances based on the poems of Alexander Pushkin, pop hits of previous years and foreign hits, that spoke about love for women, were performed from the stage.
\nPop singer Maisa Niyazova performs the song \u201cDove\u201d by Sebastian de Iradier in a duet with Albert Zhalilov. The concert program included the Turkmen songs \u201cCharming Eyes\u201d by Andrei Babayev and \u201cMy Ashgabat\u201d by Rejep Gutliyev, as well as the Tatar folk song \u201cNightingale\u201d.
