On March 26, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the ministerial meeting in the \u201cCentral Asia \u2013 European Union\u201d format.
\nDuring the meeting, the ministers discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields.
\nThe diplomats particularly emphasized the high level of interstate dialogue thanks to the political will of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Esteemed Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Esteemed President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
\nThe parties considered cooperation within multilateral structures, in particular the UN and the EU.
