UNICEF and the Turkmenistan Tennis Federation (TTF) have launched the country’s first wheelchair tennis program, providing ten children aged 7-18 with physical disabilities access to sports, confidence-building, and social inclusion. The program includes specialized wheelchairs, coaching, and tailored training.
\nLeveraging UNICEF’s “Sport for Development” approach, the initiative promotes an inclusive environment where children with and without disabilities play together, developing vital life skills. Wheelchair tennis enhances physical well-being, social interaction, and community participation.
