Ahead of World Health Day, which is annually celebrated on April 7, a mass sports and entertainment event took place in the Olympic Village of the Turkmen capital.
\nIt was organized by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Office and Yenme Public Organization. The event brought together more than 200 participants with the aim of popularizing sports engagement and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
\nStarting with a mass run, the event continued with interactive sessions, kickboxing and taekwondo masterclasses, and yoga classes. The yoga classes were conducted by an instructor from the Yoga Center in Ashgabat.
\nThe event concluded with performances by young gymnasts and a music-dance group from the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. There was also a ceremonial award ceremony for the young winners of the run.
\nThe event became an important step toward creating an inclusive and healthy society where every young person, regardless of gender, has equal opportunities to participate in sports and community life.
