On April 4, 2025, in Baku, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 11th ministerial meeting within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council.
\nSpeaking at the event, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev spoke in detail about Azerbaijan’s energy strategy, the importance of international cooperation, as well as the regional and international significance of the Southern Gas Corridor project.
\nIn their speeches, the speakers emphasized that the Southern Gas Corridor plays an important role in ensuring Europe\u2019s energy security in today\u2019s global geopolitical conditions.
\nIn addition, issues of expanding the infrastructure of the Southern Gas Corridor were discussed, including increasing the volume of gas supplies via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, as well as the possibility of exporting gas to new European countries \u2013 the states of South-Eastern and Central Europe.
\nThe meeting included an exchange of views on renewable energy projects, including offshore wind power plants to be located in the Caspian Sea.
