On 9 April, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Hojamurad Geldimuradov met with the Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, in the framework of his visit to Geneva.
\nDuring the meeting, the sides discussed the current collaboration and possibilities for further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the WTO, including issues related to the process of Turkmenistan\u2019s accession to the organization.
\nThe WTO Director-General commended Turkmenistan\u2019s efforts and proficiency in matters related to WTO accession. Okonjo-Iweala expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan – President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov – for strategic support in this regard.
