As part of the European Union \u2013 Central Asia Sustainable Energy Days campaign, the European Union (EU)- funded project \u201cSustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia (SECCA)\u201d is announcing a regional media contest in Central Asia, titled \u201cEnergy Transition for a Better Tomorrow.\u201d
\nJournalists are invited to submit their materials on the following topics: sustainable energy, renewables, energy efficiency, gender equality in the energy sector, STEM education for girls, green\/sustainable building practices, EU\u2013Central Asia sustainable energy cooperation, and EU\u2013Central Asia research cooperation under the Horizon Europe Programme\u2019s Cluster \u201cClimate, Energy, and Mobility.\u201d Materials must be published in print or online media or aired\/broadcast on TV\/radio between April 15, 2024, and May 14, 2025.
\nThe purpose of this media contest is to boost public awareness of the transition to clean energy for the benefit of people and the planet, to raise awareness of sustainable energy development, including scaling up renewables and improving energy efficiency, as well as to highlight the benefits of transitioning to more sustainable and gender-responsive energy systems.
\nAs a result of the media contest, three winners will be selected. The winners will receive cash prizes:
\nThe first-place winner will receive EUR 3,000.
\nThe second-place winner will receive EUR 2,000.
\nThe third-place winner will receive EUR 1,000.
