On May 25, the final stage of the exhibition entitled \u201cCulture and Life of the Turkmens. Carpet Weaving\u201d was held in the large hall of the Kyiv Magtymguly Library dedicated to the Day of Ashgabat City and the Turkmen Carpet Day.
\nEmployees of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, young artists and their parents, children\u2019s writers, librarians, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and students attended the event.
\nAn exhibition of young artists from the creative circle \u201c\u041c\u0438\u0441\u0442\u0435\u0446\u0442\u0432\u043e\u0437\u043d\u0430\u0432\u0446\u0456\u201d (Art Critics) of the Center for Extracurricular Activities of the Svyatoshinsky District of Kyiv, entitled \u201cSilver Skullcap,\u201d based on Turkmen folk tales, was opened a week before the holiday.
\nThe speeches emphasized that the Turkmen carpet reflects in its patterns the milestones of history, mentality and spiritual and moral values of the people. It was emphasized that the recognition by UNESCO experts of the traditions of Turkmen carpet weaving as part of the great cultural heritage of all humankind will contribute to the further promotion of this national brand abroad.
\nDuring the event, an audio project of the Turkmen folk tale \u201cTwo Mergens\u201d was presented in Ukrainian.
\nActing Director of the Magtymguly Library Y.Lopata and the head of the creative circle \u201c\u041c\u0438\u0441\u0442\u0435\u0446\u0442\u0432\u043e\u0437\u043d\u0430\u0432\u0446\u0456\u201d Y.Apanasenko noted the importance of developing cultural, humanitarian and educational cooperation.
