The award ceremony was held for the winners of the competition on the development of visual materials on the importance of preserving biodiversity in the specially protected natural areas of Turkmenistan, as reported official website of the Turkmenistan.
\nThe competition was organized within the framework of the project \u201cConservation and Sustainable Management of Land Resources and High Nature Value Ecosystems in the Aral Sea Basin for Multiple Benefits,\u201d which is being implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and the Global Environment Facility.
\nThe competition was timed to coincide with World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5. The places were distributed as follows: first place was awarded to Dilnaza Sapaeva from Dashoguz velayat (drawing titled \u201cBeautiful Nature\u201d). Second place went to Rakhmet Toymyradov, a student at the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan (work titled \u201cAnimal Tracks\u201d) and Maria Bekzhanova from Dashoguz velayat (drawing titled \u201cLife is Nature\u201d). Bibipatma Mammedova from Dashoguz velayat (drawing titled \u201cNature is Life\u201d and Iskander Annamukhammedov (work titled \u201cThe Importance of Biodiversity Conservation\u201d took third place.
