On July 21, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin, who presented copies of his credentials.
\nThe Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic activities.
\nDuring the conversations, a range of issues on further strengthening Turkmen-Chinese relations were discussed in detail. The parties noted that regular high-level meetings contribute to strengthening political dialogue.
\nAs part of the intensification of trade and economic relations, the parties expressed interest in increasing cooperation in the energy sector.
