Kazakhstan’s Akashi Data Center and the Chinese telecom giant China Mobile have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The parties intend to create the largest data center in Central Asia \u2014 it will be based in Astana. Construction has begun in the Kazakh capital on Central Asia\u2019s first Tier IV data center, led by Akashi Data Center and set for completion in early 2026. The facility will host 4,000 server racks, more than doubling Kazakhstan\u2019s current capacity of 3,800 racks. The center is supposed to address the country\u2019s shortage of computing power.
