Dubai International Airport (DXB) has launched the world\u2019s first AI-powered corridor, allowing passengers to clear immigration without stopping or presenting documents.
\nThe AI system processes up to ten people at a time, recognizing passengers before they physically arrive at the checkpoints, said Lt. General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai\u2019s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
\nThe new AI corridor speeds up procedures and doubles the airport\u2019s capacity. The system also detects irregularities by routing suspicious passports directly to experts in the relevant department.
\nDubai Airport will retain its status as the world\u2019s busiest airport by international passenger traffic in 2024.
