On September 30, the festive reception dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan\u2019s Independence was held at the \u201cSheraton Grand Doha\u201d hotel in Doha. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the State of Qatar.
\nThe reception was attended by the Minister of Labour of the State of Qatar, Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al-Marri, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Ambassadors and diplomats of foreign states accredited in Qatar, media representatives, as well as Turkmen citizens and students.
\nIn his remarks, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Mr. M.Seyitmammedov, highlighted the achievements of the country during the years of Independence and underlined the importance of Turkmenistan\u2019s international cooperation. In particular, he noted that at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the resolution \u201c2025 \u2013 International Year of Peace and Trust\u201d was unanimously adopted with 86 states co-sponsoring it. This reflects the recognition of Turkmenistan\u2019s peace-loving foreign policy by the international community.
