The results of the scientific and creative competition \u201cOzone and Climate\u201d were announced in Ashgabat on October 3. The competition was held as a joint initiative of the public organization \u201cYoung Naturalist\u201d, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). As reported by the education.gov.tm.
\nThe main goal of the \u201cOzone and Climate\u201d competition, held in honor of the International Day for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, was to improve students’ knowledge about ozone layer protection, form an ecological culture, and develop scientific research and creative abilities.
\nStudents in grades 7\u201312 from the capital\u2019s secondary schools participated in the competition. They presented demonstration models and project works on the theme: \u201cWhat can a person do to preserve the ozone layer and mitigate the effects of climate change?\u201d
\nBased on the competition results: 1st place was awarded to the joint work of students from Ashgabat\u2019s Secondary School No. 55: Hallyberdiyev Ybrayym, Akgaeva Akgul, Atayeva Aysha, and Demidovsky Stanislav. 2nd place were students from Secondary School No. 15 in Ashgabat: Akhmedov Ahmet and Agamyradov Alyhan. 3rd place was secured by Durdyyeva Gulnur, a student from Ashgabat\u2019s Secondary School No. 34.
