In Ashgabat, the environmental public organization “Young Naturalist” (\u00dda\u015f Tebugat\u00e7y) celebrated its third anniversary. The gala event, organized jointly with the consulting firm TMT Consulting Group, brought together representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, public figures, and journalists. The organization\u2019s head warmly welcomed the guests, Leyli Shikhmadova, who shared their achievements and plans for the future.
\n“The number ‘three’ has special symbolism. We live on the third planet of the solar system in three-dimensional space. And, as the proverb goes, ‘A stool has three legs\u2014they hold each other together.’ Similarly, when the organization “Young Naturalist” was founded three years ago, it had three specialists and three members,” noted Shikhmadova, recounting the organization’s humble beginnings.<\/p>\n

\nIn three years, “Young Naturalist” has achieved impressive results. Today, the organization has over 70,000 members. The organization held 35 environmental events, 73 educational seminars, 17 competitions, and 7 excursions to nature reserves. It actively engages with the media, publishing 91 materials, and planted approximately 30,000 tree saplings across the country, contributing to the national greening policy.
\nFollowing the official part, guests enjoyed refreshments and socializing in the warm atmosphere of autumnal Ashgabat.<\/p>\n

\nThe event culminated with a time capsule laying ceremony for a sapling to be planted in front of the organization’s building. The capsule contains a message from Leyli Shikhmadova to future generations, to be opened 10 years from now, in 2035.
\nThe second part of the event was dedicated to the awards ceremony for the winners of the “Young Naturalist: Green World, Prosperous Future” competition, timed to coincide with the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
\nThe competition, held jointly with the editorial staff of the Vatan newspaper, became a vibrant event that united young people in their pursuit of environmental education.<\/p>\n
