The United States Mint has unveiled a commemorative 1-dollar coin featuring Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, TASS reports.
\nThe obverse will feature the inscriptions “United States of America,” “California,” “Steve Jobs,” and “Create Something Great” surrounding the image.
\nIn February, California Governor Gavin Newsom proposed honoring Steve Jobs on the coin. The governor noted that Steve Jobs “embodies the unique brand of innovation that underpins California.” He also highlighted of Jobs contributions to various industries, from Pixar Animation Studios and their first full-length computer-animated film, “Toy Story,” to his work at Apple, where revolutionary products such as the Apple II and Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, and iPad were created.
