On October 21, during an official visit to Georgia, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili.
\nSincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were conveyed to the President of Georgia. During the meeting, key issues of bilateral cooperation, strengthening political dialogue, as well as developing economic and cultural ties between the two countries were discussed.
\nThe sides emphasized that regular contacts at high and the highest levels contribute to the deepening of their strategic partnership.
\nIt was noted that Turkmenistan and Georgia consistently support each other\u2019s constructive international initiatives and co-sponsor them within the framework of the United Nations.
