On 22 October, the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, J. Gurbangeldiyev, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Si Shumin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People\u2019s Republic of China to Turkmenistan. The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on assuming office and underscored the strategic nature of Turkmen\u2013Chinese cooperation in the field of education.
\nThe parties discussed expanding cooperation in Chinese-language studies and energizing academic exchanges, advancing programs for the professional development of teachers, as well as promoting joint projects in digital educational technologies. The Turkmen side expressed gratitude for China\u2019s support to ongoing grant initiatives and discussed increasing scholarship opportunities for Turkmen students, as well as projects aimed at deploying digital solutions in cooperation with the relevant structures of the Ministry of Education of the PRC
\nIt was also noted that talks were held on the practical implementation of the \u201cLuban Workshop\u201d project in Turkmenistan, with the participation of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University, and Xi\u2019an Shiyou University.
