On November 7, at the MFA premises the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Economic Affairs Hamid Ghanbari.
\nDuring the meeting, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres.
\nThe sides noted the importance of high-level meetings in expanding bilateral friendly relations.
\nTrade and economic cooperation were highlighted as key areas of partnership. In this context, the importance of the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation was emphasized, and the sides confirmed their readiness to implement the agreements reached during the commission’s last meeting.
\nThe agenda also included issues of developing cooperation in the fuel and energy sector and increasing transport and transit potential.
