According to the Decree signed by US President Donald Trump on December 16, significant relaxations have been introduced in the visa regulations for Turkmenistan.
\nAs noted in the document, Turkmenistan has recently shown significant progress in effective cooperation with the United States in the field of identification and information exchange. As a result:
\n\u2013 Restrictions on the entry of citizens of Turkmenistan to the United States for short-term visits (B-1, B-2, B-1\/B-2), study (F, M) and exchange (J) visas have been completely lifted.
\n\u2013 Thus, the way is opened for Turkmen citizens wishing to travel to the United States for business, tourism, study and academic purposes.
\nAt the same time, the entry of citizens of Turkmenistan to the United States on immigrant visas (visas for the purpose of residence) remains temporarily restricted.
