On January 21, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, met with the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Committee on Economic Cooperation, Hiroyuki Tsubai, in Tokyo.
\nThe purpose of the meeting was to discuss cooperation plans for 2026, including the implementation of joint economic projects in Turkmenistan to further strengthen the bilateral partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan.
\nThe Japanese side confirmed the need to continue work on the economic projects announced by the President of Turkmenistan at the first \u201cCentral Asia + Japan\u201d Dialogue Summit held in Tokyo on December 20, 2025, including in the area of the circular economy.
\nThe meeting also emphasized the importance of further developing the medical cluster in Arkadag city, in which the Japanese company \u201cSumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd.\u201d is also actively participating.
