On January 28, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan held a briefing on the updated “Uzbekistan 2030” Strategy. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ravshanbek Alimov spoke to the media about the key goals of the document, which defines the country’s long-term sustainable development.
\nThe strategy includes 100 goals in five priority areas: social development, economic growth, natural resource conservation, rule of law, and foreign policy development. Particular attention is paid to unlocking the potential of citizens and strengthening the principle of a “secure and peaceful state.”
\nRegional cooperation was also discussed at the briefing. In the context of modern geopolitics, Central Asia is once again serving as a bridge between East and West, North and South. The updated Strategy emphasizes a policy of good-neighborliness and mutual trust.
\nParticular attention is paid to cooperation with Turkmenistan. According to diplomats, the partnership between the two countries has reached a new level thanks to the political will of both leaders. Uzbekistan remains a reliable partner in the implementation of trans regional projects, including transport and transit corridors, trade, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
\nThe document is undergoing extensive public consultation to ensure it takes into account citizen demands.
