Maral Gullyyeva, a student at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, has developed a technology for extracting dye from ordinary sulfur. The State Service has registered the invention for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, as reported by the education.gov.tm.
\nThe research was conducted at the laboratory of the university\u2019s Faculty of Chemical Technology and Ecology. The study utilized sulfur extracted from the Galkynysh gas field.
\nFirst, sulfuric acid was derived from sulfur. Then, aluminum sulfate was formed through the reaction of sulfuric acid with aluminum. Subsequently, gypsum, lime, and other components were added to the resulting substance. As a result, both coloring and adhesive agents were obtained.
\nTests demonstrated that these materials possess high resistance to degradation and has antiseptic properties. It was also established that they are harmless to living organisms, the environment, and the soil.
\nIn the long term, the production of these substances is considered economically viable and does not require complex technologies. The resulting products can be applied in construction, as well as in paper, leather, and textile manufacturing.
