As part of a working visit, a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development met with the Vice-rectors of the University of Westminster, Andrew Lynn and Dibyesh Anand. During the meeting, prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed. Professor Andrew Lynn presented the University of Westminster\u2019s research and noted that he had completed several fruitful working visits to Ashgabat, participated in scientific conferences, and jointly conducted professional development courses with universities as part of the British Council\u2019s \u201cAccelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia\u201d program. Professor Dibyesh Anand then spoke about the University of Westminster\u2019s international work, specifically sharing his experience working in the Central Asian region. The delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development expressed satisfaction with the warm welcome they received at the university and discussed the university\u2019s activities, achievements, collaboration, and work with international partner universities. It was also noted the effectiveness of meetings with the University of Westminster\u2019s research centers. Professor Dibyesh Anand then proposed organizing exchange programs, short-term summer courses, and online courses in areas of mutual interest for students of the International University for the Humanities and Development, as well as jointly developing double diploma programs in a \u201c2+2\u2019 or \u201c1+1\u201d format for long-term use. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to work through diplomatic channels to establish mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
Thereafter, a hybrid meeting with professors and lecturers from the University of Westminster on the \u201cAcademic English\u201d course was held. At the meeting, professors and lecturers from the University of Westminster shared their experiences in applying new methods of teaching English.<\/p>\n
Also during the working visit, an international conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan\u2019s independence was held in the conference hall of the University of Westminster. Vice-rectors, professors and lecturers, heads of research centers, and students from the University of Westminster, as well as a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development, participated in the conference. At the international conference, Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development M.Kulieva shared a presentation on Turkmenistan\u2019s foreign policy and diplomacy, based on permanent neutrality, under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen Peoplen Hero-Arkdag and Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar. A.Chariyev, Lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the International University for the Humanities and Development, spoke about Turkmenistan’s glorious history, its current successes and achievements, international cooperation in education, and the opportunities created for nurturing scientifically educated youth in our country. G.Seyilbaeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at the International University for the Humanities and Development, spoke about the teaching of foreign languages \u200b\u200bin our country and the work of the International University for the Humanities and Development in this area.<\/p>\n
