Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Misotakis has announced that the government will soon consider banning children and adolescents from using social networks under the age of 15, as reported by Bloomberg.
\n\u201cContinuous browsing on social networks is harmful to their mental health, and we need to find a way to do this,\u201d the Prime Minister said.
\nAccording to Misotakis, a proposal on this issue will be announced in a few weeks.
\nThe agency writes that Greece will become the latest European country to restrict the use of social networks by children and adolescents. According to Misotakis, eventually, Europe will develop a unified approach to this issue.
\nPreviously, France, Slovenia, Great Britain, Poland, and Portugal had expressed their views on restricting or completely banning the use of social networks by minors.
