On March 15, a meeting was held in Arkadag city between O. Atabayeva, the Vice President for therapeutic activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, and Jalpa Ratna, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the constructive nature of Turkmenistan’s long-standing cooperation with UNICEF. This collaboration is evident in numerous projects and initiatives aimed at protecting and strengthening children’s health, defending their rights, and ensuring their full development.
Atabayeva outlined the Charitable Foundation’s activities and future initiatives, highlighting its work’s results, including the provision of hundreds of surgeries and medical services to children at the Foundation’s expense.
The sides discussed the potential for establishing direct cooperation between the Charitable Foundation and UNICEF to provide essential assistance to children. They also exchanged views on collaboration in the fields of healthcare and inclusive education.
Furthermore, they discussed preparations for the upcoming conference to commemorate the four-year anniversary of the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
