The 16th anniversary of the foundation of TRT Avaz, which continues its broadcasts with the vision of “Unity in Language, Idea, and Work” for the Turkic World, and the Nevruz Holiday, symbolizing the arrival of spring, were celebrated with a special concert. The spirit of unity and solidarity of the Turkic World was brought to television screens with the program “TRT Avaz 16th Year and Nevruz Special Concert.”
TRT Avaz, which started broadcasting on March 21, 2009, celebrated its 16th anniversary and the Nevruz holiday with a special concert. Diplomatic mission representatives, academics, artists, and many guests attended the concert hosted by TRT General Manager Mehmet Zahid Sobacı. The ‘TRT Avaz 16th Year and Nevruz Special Concert,’ where leading artists from the Turkic world and TRT artists took the stage, was also broadcast live on TRT Avaz screens.
Before the concert, the traditional ritual of the Nevruz Festival, which is accepted as the beginning of the new year and the harbinger of spring in the Türkiye geography, the jumping over the fire ceremony was held. During the night, when the spirit and enthusiasm of Nevruz was brought to the screens with a bridge extending from the heart of the Turkic world, artists from six different countries performed melodies and folk songs reflecting the common cultural heritage of the Turkic World, and provided unforgettable moments to the audience.
