The VI UNESCO Club, “Peace and Trust – the Basis of Humanism and Development” inaugurated at the International University for Humanities and Development on April 5.
The opening ceremony, a resounding success, was attended by distinguished guests, including Hero of Turkmenistan Chynar Rustemova, as well as professors, teachers, and students who have made significant contributions to the scientific, educational, and cultural-humanitarian development of the country. The enthusiastic opening ceremony of the UNESCO Club serves as further evidence of the ongoing efforts to promote peace and fraternity within our nation.
The primary objective of establishing the UNESCO Club at the International University for Humanities and Development is to provide modern and national education for young people, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the noble cause of strengthening peace and trust in the country. This initiative underscores the extensive work done to cultivate true patriotism and courage in young individuals, drawing upon our national traditions and culture. The club’s significance amplified by the growing interest among young people in the values of our numerous monuments, which are included in UNESCO’s list of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
To commemorate the occasion, a festive event featuring musical performances held in the university’s conference hall. During the event, students presented a literary and musical composition that elicited positive emotions from the audience. The university’s musical group, “Ovaz,” concluded the event with a performance of the song “In the Year of International Peace and Trust,” adding further significance to the celebration.
