On May 13 in the building of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Aktau city) was held an event dedicated to the Year of International Peace and Trust.
The event was attended by representatives of the Turkmen diaspora living in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, as well as students studying at the Sh. Yesenov State University of Engineering and Technology in Aktau.
During the event the importance of the recognition of our country’s permanent neutrality by the international community was emphasized.
The Consul of Turkmenistan M. Abdyllayev noted in his speech that Turkmenistan’s active foreign policy and the creative initiatives put forward by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow enjoy wide support in the world. He also noted the importance of resolutions “2025 as the Year International of Peace and Trust” and “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” adopted by the UN General Assembly.
It was emphasized, that Neutral Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to promoting peace and security in the world, strengthening mutual understanding, friendly, trusting relations and effective cooperation between states and peoples, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
An exhibition of paintings depicting handicrafts, jewelry and textile products of the Turkmen people was organized within the framework of the conference and attracted the attention of the participants of the event.
At the end of the conference, participants were shown videos about the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
