Registration is now open for the XXXI International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2026,” which will take place October 21–23, 2026, in Ashgabat.
Held under the motto “Energy. Partnership. Progress,” the conference will bring together leading representatives of the global energy industry, executives from major companies, investors, financial institutions, and technology providers to identify future directions for international energy cooperation.
A key focus on the conference agenda will be the further development of the supergiant Galkynyş gas field, one of the largest in the world. The recent launch ceremony for the fourth phase of its development, held with the participation of National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang, underscored the strategic importance of this project within the framework of bilateral energy cooperation.
The 2026 program will address key energy sector development priorities, including the phased development of the Galkynyş field, the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project, the development of offshore blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, and the modernization of production, processing, and transportation infrastructure.
Particular attention will be paid to the monetization of energy resources, the development of the gas chemical and petrochemical industries, the production of high-value-added products, and the diversification of export routes. The conference agenda will also reflect modern technological trends, including the digital transformation of the industry, the use of artificial intelligence, improved operational efficiency, and the implementation of advanced environmental solutions.
OGT 2026 will serve as a platform for discussing methane emission reduction, energy efficiency improvements, the implementation of carbon capture and storage technologies, and the development of hydrogen energy and renewable energy sources. These priorities are consistent with Turkmenistan’s active participation in the international climate agenda.
The conference program includes a high-level plenary session, a ministerial roundtable, panel discussions featuring executives from leading energy companies, industry and investment sessions, and an international exhibition featuring over 100 companies.
Particular attention will be paid to B2B and B2G business meetings and the development of scientific and youth interaction.
