At a government meeting on April 24, Mejlis Chairperson D. Gulmanova reported on the preparation of draft laws of Turkmenistan: “On the Establishment of the Jubilee Medal ‘Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 35 ýyllygyna bagyşlanyp geçirilen dabaraly harby ýörişe gatnaşyja'” and “On the State Registration of Real Estate Rights.”
It was also reported that amendments and additions are being made to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan and a number of other legislative acts, and that work is underway to provide legal support for our country’s accession to international instruments.
To develop mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries and international organizations, representatives of the Mejlis participated in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Istanbul, Turkey, and the forums and meetings held within its framework, as well as the first meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian States.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting the effectiveness of the work to prepare new bills, emphasized the importance of further improving the country’s legislative framework.
