Students from Turkmenistan demonstrated a high level of preparation, successfully competing at the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, which took place in Moscow from April 15 to 23, as reported by the education.gov.tm.
Representatives from the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat won four awards. Rustem Jumayev and Diyar Dovletov won silver medals, while Aylar Orunova and Palvan Ilmammedov received bronze medals.
In honor of these talented students’ achievements, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan organized a ceremony where the winners received commemorative and valuable gifts.
Approximately 200 schoolchildren from 37 countries participated in this prestigious international intellectual competition. Participants demonstrated their knowledge of theoretical chemistry as well as practical laboratory skills.
The Mendeleev Olympiad is traditionally considered one of the most prestigious school chemistry competitions in the world. It aims to develop the scientific potential of young people and promote chemistry education.
The success of the Turkmen participants is further evidence of the high level of the national education system and the young generation’s commitment to new scientific achievements.
