The Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports (TSIPS) has announced a sports marathon under the motto “Talented Youth – New Generation of Athletes”.
High school graduates and current sports students from across the country are invited to participate. The events will take place from May 4 to 9, 2026, and will include general fitness tests, as well as specialized tests in sports and wrestling.
A series of open championships in goresh, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, and sambo are planned for mid-May at the institute. Young athletes will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of professional coaches and fans.
The organizers view the competitions as a key tool for identifying talented individuals capable of representing the country internationally.
