From January 19 to March 1, the International Olympiad in the Russian language called “Homo dicens” was held, announced by the Moscow City Pedagogical University and the Institute of Humanities of the Russian Federation. In addition to students from Turkmenistan, about 200 students from the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the Republic of Moldova participated in this international competition.
A 4th-year history student at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Sopytaganova Medine Azadowna, successfully passed two stages of this competition and showed excellent results in the Russian language. In this high-level competition, a student of our university, Sopytaganova Medine, won a first-class diploma, defeating students from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia. This high result proved that Turkmen students have the ability to compete at the international level.
