The next meeting of CIS heads of government will be held in Ashgabat

At a government meeting on May 15, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on preparations for the next meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States heads of government.
Turkmenistan holds the CIS Presidency this year. Since the beginning of the year, meetings of various councils, commissions, and other bodies have been held as part of this presidency. In this context, a regular meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States heads of government is planned for May 22 of this year in Ashgabat. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the CIS Executive Committee, is preparing for the upcoming meeting.
According to the draft program, bilateral meetings between the President of Turkmenistan and the heads of delegations participating in the CIS heads of government meeting are scheduled for May 22. In addition, bilateral meetings between the heads of delegations are expected.
On the same day, meetings of the heads of delegations in the relevant structures will be held. A number of important issues will be discussed, and documents will be signed upon completion.
After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that our neutral country is consistently developing cooperation with the Commonwealth of Independent States in the trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs were instructed to properly prepare for the next meeting of the CIS heads of government and ensure its high level.
