The New York and New Jersey regions of the United States are set to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals on July 19. The 80 000-seat MetLife Stadium, one of the region’s largest sports venues, will host a total of eight matches, including the championship’s crowning glory. The international sporting event, which will be held this summer, will feature the national teams of Brazil, France, Germany, and England. The group stage of the championship includes exciting matches such as Brazil-Morocco, France-Senegal, and England-Panama.
For the large number of foreign fans and guests attending the events organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), special fan zones will be available free of charge in five boroughs of New York City, including Rockefeller Center and the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The New Jersey venue will be available for a fee. In addition, the region’s cultural and recreational centers, famous historical sites, parks, and dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants will offer effective activities for tourists from all over the world.
Transportation will also be provided on the days of the prestigious sporting event. Round-trip train tickets from the Manhattan area to the stadium cost 98 dollars, and special bus services cost 20 dollars. Since parking spaces around the stadium will be limited on the days of the matches, the organizers advise spectators to plan their time well and use public transportation.
