The upcoming Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan will bring a diverse lineup of cultural events to the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, aimed at strengthening the fraternal ties and bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
The celebration begins in Ashgabat on Friday, June 5, starting at the Ashgabat Cinema with back-to-back film screenings. The film “Tagiyev: Oil” will be shown at 10:00 morning, followed by “Dream of Paradise” at 13:00. Later in the afternoon, at 15:00, the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Museum of Fine Arts will host the opening ceremony of the exhibition titled “The Pearl of Azerbaijan’s National Heritage”. The first day concludes at 17:30 at the Mukam Palace with the official grand opening ceremony of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture.
On Saturday, June 6, the festivities move to the city of Arkadag. The day’s events feature a scientific conference at the Arkadag City Library, where scholars from both nations will gather to discuss the creative works of Dovletmammet Azadi and Seyit Azim Shirvani. In the afternoon, at 16:00, the Arkadag City Museum will open the photography exhibition “Azerbaijan – From the Lens to History”. The evening will feature a dynamic performance at 18:00, when artists from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan take the stage for a joint concert at the Gorogly State Equestrian Circus.
The cultural program returns to Ashgabat for its final day on Sunday, June 7. The Ashgabat Cinema will host two more screenings, beginning with the classic film “Arshin Mal Alan” at 10:00 morning, and followed by “Homeland” at 13:00. At 16:00 afternoon, the focus shifts to literature with a scientific conference dedicated to the works of Magtymguly Pyragy and Molla Panah Vagif, held at the State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The entire cultural exchange concludes at 19:00 at the Mukam Palace with the official closing ceremony, marking another successful step in deepening friendship and cultural dialogue between the two countres.
