A gala concert in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic was held in Ashgabat

On June 3, a gala concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Republic was held at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater. Spectators and guests from many capitals gathered for this evening, which beautifully demonstrated the cultural cooperation of the two countries.

The first to speak at the official part of the ceremony was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Turkmenistan, Martin Bruck. In his speech, the Ambassador noted the historical significance and noble traditions of the Italian national holiday, emphasizing the high level of cultural and humanitarian relations and friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Italy.

Then, the head of the Magtymguly National Musical Drama Theater, Murat Aradov, made a welcoming speech. He congratulated the Italian people on the holiday and noted that such international cultural events further strengthen mutual respect between the two peoples and cultural diplomatic relations.

After the official speeches, a real musical celebration began on stage. The main character of the evening was the internationally famous opera singer, Italian soprano of Greek descent Zoe Papas. The talented singer performed with the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan. Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Resul Gylyjov, conducted the orchestra.

During the concert, Zoe Papas performed the best works of world classics and excerpts from Italian operas with great skill, clarity and a powerful voice. This wonderful evening, which combined Italian music with the high skill of Turkmen musicians, left an unforgettable impression on the audience and was greeted with continuous applause.
