A gala reception to mark the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China was held at the Yildiz Hotel, according to the country’s Information Center.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin, Deputy Minister of Defense of Turkmenistan, Head of the Main Directorate Colonel Begmurat Soltanov, Military Attaché of the Chinese Embassy Senior Colonel Huang Lei, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and military specialists.

During the official part of the meeting, the Turkmen side extended congratulations to the leadership and personnel of the Chinese Armed Forces, emphasizing the strategic and long-term nature of bilateral relations. Particular attention was paid to strengthening partnerships in military-technical and military education spheres, as well as the implementation of previously concluded contracts with leading enterprises in China’s defense industry.

Representatives of the Chinese side noted the People’s Liberation Army’s historic contribution to ensuring the country’s national security and sovereignty, and expressed their commitment to further deepening practical cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The reception concluded with a gala dinner, where guests were offered dishes of national and international cuisine.
