A delegation from the International University for Humanities and Development is on a working visit to Helsinki. The trip, taking place from August 17 to 22, is organized as part of the European Union’s regional project “Digital Connectivity in Central Asia” (C4CA), according to education.gov.tm.

Practical cooperation with Finnish partners Laurea University of Applied Sciences and the Institute of Public Administration HAUS is based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in June 2026.

During talks with C4CA leadership, MUGNR Vice-Rector N.Shikhliev discussed the vector of joint scientific and educational activities. The main outcome of the meetings was an agreement in principle to launch specific areas and programs of the European project directly at the Ashgabat university.

The visit’s program also includes a study of Finland’s best practices in building digital infrastructure and implementing modern IT solutions in academic processes and public administration. The C4CA initiative will create a platform for sustainable partnerships between universities in Central Asia and Europe, enhancing the digital competencies of students and faculty through joint research projects.
