The 9th One Health World Congress, one of the largest international forums dedicated to advancing scientific, practical, and policy solutions in the field of interconnected human, animal, and environmental health, will be held at the Lisbon Congress Center in Lisbon, Portugal, between September 4 and 7.
Organized by the global One Health community, the Congress brings together representatives of scientific and expert circles, government agencies, international organizations, and practitioners from around the world. Over the course of four days, participants will discuss pressing issues of global health security, infectious and zoonotic disease prevention, food system sustainability, antimicrobial resistance, biosecurity, climate change, ecosystem protection, as well as mechanisms for the practical implementation of the One Health approach at the national and international levels. Turkmenistan is represented at this significant international event by Arslan Soltanmyradov, Head of the Department of International and Scientific Relations and National Coordinator for the Implementation of the One Health Approach at the State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan.
During the Congress, Arslan Soltanmyradov spoke at a panel session dedicated to One Health, presenting Turkmenistan’s approaches and professional experience in developing intersectoral collaboration and strengthening national cooperation mechanisms in human, animal, and environmental health.
Turkmenistan’s participation in the 9th One Health World Congress demonstrates the country’s consistent engagement in international professional dialogue and its commitment to strengthening cooperation to ensure human and animal health, biosecurity, and sustainable development.
