A regional conference, “Parliamentary Leadership for the Future: A Whole-of-Society Approach to Economic and Demographic Stability,” was held in Kuala Lumpur on September 3-4. A representative of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan participated in the conference, as reported by mejlis.gov.tm.
The forum was dedicated to strengthening inter-parliamentary partnerships, empowering youth and women, ensuring demographic sustainability, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
During his speech, the Turkmen parliamentarian detailed the priorities of Turkmenistan’s state policy, which are aimed at protecting human rights, improving citizens’ well-being, supporting families, and actively engaging the younger generation in public administration. He noted the successful practical implementation of the Law “On State Youth Policy,” which guarantees high-quality education, employment, and comprehensive support for young families in the country.
The forum served as an effective platform for exchanging best legislative practices and expanding international cooperation for the sake of sustainable development and the well-being of the population throughout the region.
