Registration for the national reading marathon “Reading Nation” has opened in Astana.
According to the Akimat of the capital of Kazakhstan, participants will be required to read 15 books from a suggested list and share brief reviews.
The winner of the regional stage will receive 600,000 tenge (approximately 1300 dollar). Second place will receive 450,000 tenge (approximately 988 dollar), and third place will receive 300,000 tenge (approximately 659 dollar).
Schoolchildren in grades 6-10, students, teachers, government employees, family teams, and anyone else, regardless of age or profession, can participate.
The marathon will run from September of this year to April of next year in Kazakh and Russian. You can register on the project’s website, reading-nation.kz.
